The October 2019 recipient of the Outstanding Student Leader, present by Computer Business CEO, Clinton Pownall, was awarded to Valerie Belvu of Real Life Christian Academy at the South Lake Chamber’s monthly breakfast.
Valerie is an honor roll student with a current GPA of 4.6. She has received the Math Award in both 10th and 11th grades, the Science Award in 9th, 10th and 11th grades. In addition to her AP and honors courses, Val served as the 9th and 12th grade representative for Student Counsel, currently serves as the yearbook photographer and has participated in multiple school service trips while attending Real Life.
Outside of academics, Val plays on the varsity girls basketball team and has been awarded the captain award, MVP, and rookie of the year.
The South Lake Chamber of Commerce encompasses the cities of Clermont, Groveland, Mascotte, Minneola, and Montverde, of Central Florida.
