Computer Business Consultants, Inc., CEO Clinton Pownall, spoke to South Lake High School juniors at the South Lake Chamber of Commerce Education Committee’s annual “Job Readiness” presentation on Feb. 11. This presentation brings together education, business, first responders, military and community representatives to engage high school juniors on discussions about how to approach getting and keeping a job. The presentation also provides a unique opportunity for high school seniors to ask the guest speakers any question that comes to mind; this section is titled “Ask Me Anything.”
Pownall helped establish this presentation during his tenure as chair of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce Education Committee and has participated in this event annually at each local high school. While he enjoys speaking at this event, it is the discussions that take place after the session ends that he finds most rewarding. “The conversations I have with the students after the session reenergize me and my love for what I do,” says Pownall. “Their eagerness to learn about our collective fields and glean best practices makes me hopeful for the future of our workforce.”
