Computer Business Consultants, Inc., CEO Clinton Pownall, attended the Orlando Shakes’ production of the John R. Hamilton Mock Trial, The Crown v. Falstaff, on Mar. 10. Pownall invited law students from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical’s (FAMU) College of Law: Catarina Kaltenhauser, Angelica Frink Walker, Jasmine Mcmillion and Tashna Thompson, to the production as his guests.
Orlando Shakes has hosted the zany Judge Judy style production since 2009 offering a who’s who of the Central Florida legal community. “I was honored to share the evening and provide the opportunity for the students,” says Pownall. “Their insights were enlightening and a nod to their law professors. It is safe to say the future of law is bright with these students from FAMU.”
In addition to serving as Vice President on the Orlando Shakes Board of Directors, Pownall and Computer Business regularly sponsor productions like the John R. Hamilton Mock Trial each season. “As a proponent of the arts community I am happy to support Orlando Shakes in any way that I can,” says Pownall. “Whether that support is financial or through service on the board.”
Celebrating its 30th Season, Orlando Shakes, in partnership with UCF, produces classic, contemporary, and children’s plays. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Jim Helsinger and Managing Director PJ Albert, Orlando Shakes is one of the region’s most acclaimed professional theaters, garnering national recognition from The Wall Street Journal, “Spectacular and satisfying… Broadway-quality… impressive… come to Florida and plunge yourself in…”
